THE TOMATO IS PROCESSED INTO JUICE, PULP, DICED TOMATO, PUREÈ, SEMI-CONCENTRATED PASTE AND PASTE.
• Most of the processed tomato is used for semi-processed products subsequently destined for further industrial processing. A high level of technology is used in the preparation of these products which are then packaged aseptically in large capacity containers (from 220 to 1,200 kilograms).
• The catering sector uses another signi cant share of production: tomato paste, purée, pulp, diced tomatoes or “enriched” tomatoes that can be packaged in 2.5, 3 and 5 kg cans or in 3 to 5 kg bags.
• For the retail sector, purée, pulp, diced tomato and sauces are packaged in glass bottles of different shapes and sizes.
